Working in partnership Rob Nicoll at Althorne Project Consultants, ARK23 was tasked with the development of Caffè Nero’s first ever drive-thru at Stansted Airport.

Stansted Airport handed over the completed slab for ARK23 who then worked with Caffè Nero’s design team and contractor to form the ‘shell’, an impressive 1200sq. ft glass and steel structure. Once completed, this was handed back to Rob to complete the internal fit out.

The scope of works included:
• Coordinating the project team to finalise the design and build the glass and steel ‘shell’
• Managing the supply chain to ensure smooth integration with the project plan
• Installation of drive-thru induction loops, menu screens, order screens and collection screens
• Installation of signage
• Representing Caffè Nero in the wider development coordination, meeting with the airport operator and the other tenant
• Obtaining statutory consents and final sign-off for the project

The result? A stunning building serving fabulous coffee!
