Our commitment

ARK23 Ltd is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships. Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms — including slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking — all of which involve depriving a person of their liberty in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and are committed to acting ethically and transparently in our business and our supply chains, and to taking reasonable steps to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our operations or supply chains.

About our business

ARK23 Ltd is a boutique consultancy specialising in construction and the built environment. We provide project management, project cost control, facilities management and employer’s agent services. We operate in the United Kingdom and work with clients, contractors and suppliers primarily within the construction, leisure and hospitality sectors.

We recognise that the construction sector can carry a higher risk of modern slavery, particularly within complex, multi-tiered supply chains and labour supply, and we take this responsibility seriously.

Our supply chains

Our supply chains include the contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and service providers we engage with, or recommend to clients, in the course of delivering projects. We expect everyone we work with to share our commitment to combating modern slavery.

Our policies and due diligence

To support our commitment, we:

  • Expect our suppliers, contractors and partners to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and to have appropriate measures of their own
  • Seek to work with reputable, established businesses and, where appropriate, ask supply-chain partners about their approach to modern slavery
  • Aim to build long-standing relationships with suppliers and make clear our expectations of ethical business conduct
  • Treat anyone working for or with ARK23 fairly, lawfully and with respect

Reporting concerns

We encourage anyone — including staff, contractors and members of the public — to raise concerns about any actual or suspected modern slavery in our business or supply chains. Concerns can be reported in confidence to richardtaylor@ark23.co.uk. We will treat all reports seriously and review them promptly.

If you believe someone is in immediate danger, please contact the police on 999. You can also call the Modern Slavery & Exploitation Helpline on 08000 121 700.

Review

This policy will be reviewed regularly and updated as necessary.
